Sarah Mogen, Director and Preschool Class Teacher
Sarah has had the privilege of teaching young people since 1993. She discovered her passion for children while in Minneapolis working with inner city youth where she developed programs to promote strong self image. She fell in love with Early Childhood Education when she saw the wonder and endless possibilities in her own daughter’s eyes. Sarah began teaching at Paddington Station here in Denver where she was trained in the Stanley British Philosophy. There she was a Master Teacher and a Mentor Teacher to the interns of the Stanley BPS Teacher Training Program. In 2006 Sarah found her true home as a teacher at WPELC. She is constantly amazed at the integrity and joy found in this cooperative community. Sarah has had many wonderful opportunities to share her passion for Early Childhood Education by presenting seminars, teaching classes and as the focus of a teacher training video series by the Colorado Department of Education. Sarah’s love of learning and willingness to share continues to grow, just as her children grow, and take flight each year. |

Cassandra Sneed, Preschool/Early Learner Class Assistant Teacher
Cassandra is our Preschool Class Assistant Teacher, a Colorado native, and has worked in the ECE field for over 10 years. She attended Metro State College to study Criminal Justice, but in 2003, accepted the fact that her gift was working with young children. She then transferred to the Community College of Aurora to work toward her credentials in Early Childhood Education and she plans to transfer back to Metro State or the University of Northern Colorado @ Lowry to complete her requirements. Cassandra is also a mother who in her free time enjoys spending time with her family and friends (and also spending time by herself), redecorating her home, shopping, as well as singing and working in her church. She also provides private child care services through her business called "Playground Pals." Her philosophy is that all children deserve love and respect and are naturally fun. "It is an honor to work with young children." She has been privileged to work in the field and to experience both extremes from a child care/daycare setting to a prestigious parent cooperative environment, and we are thrilled that she brings these broad, real-world experiences to the WPELC team. |
